Attendance & Cancellation Policy

To support consistent therapeutic progress and ensure that appointment times are used effectively, we maintain the following attendance guidelines:

1. Attendance Expectations

Therapy is most beneficial when sessions occur regularly. By scheduling, you reserve a dedicated time for your care. If attendance becomes inconsistent, we may need to reassess your scheduling needs and determine a plan that better supports continuity.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible.

This helps us make the best use of clinical availability and offer openings to other clients on the waitlist. We understand that unexpected circumstances happen; in those cases, please notify your clinician as soon as you are able.

Rescheduling of intake appointments following a late cancellation or no-show is at the discretion of the clinician and is not guaranteed.

3. How to Cancel or Reschedule

You may cancel or reschedule by contacting your clinician directly.
If you’re experiencing an emergency, just reach out when you can — your safety takes priority.

4. Repeated Missed Appointments

To support continuity of care, we track attendance patterns. If a client misses 2 consecutive appointments or 3 total appointments within a 4-week period, we may pause their recurring appointment time and shift to as-available scheduling until attendance becomes more consistent.

This is not a penalty; it is intended to ensure that weekly time slots are used consistently and that clients receive care in a structure that supports therapeutic progress.
